Emilio Isgrò has recently been part of the project Viaggi da camera by the Nicola Trussardi Foundation. The online initiative, available on the Foundation website and on its social media, collects and publishes everyday images, videos and texts, chosen from artists invited to talk about their own private and domestic space.
Inspired by the famous 18th-century novel by Xavier De Maistre "Voyage Around My Room" – written during an obligatory stay of 42 days in a room in Turin – Viaggi da camera asks to the artists featured to open the doors of their real and imaginary rooms.
In times like these of forced closure, this project invites us to go on a new journey inside the perimeter of our own rooms, in order to discover new maps of imagination and new vanishing points.
